Is the use of a stamp or seal required?

NJ Statute (NJSA 52:7-19) does require that Notaries Public print, type, or stamp their name in addition to their signature. The use of a rubber stamp or an embosser (raised seal) is NOT required. Regardless of how the information is marked on a document, the notary public should include the following:

Signature of Notary

Printed Name of Notary

Notary Public - State of New Jersey

My Commission Expires mm/dd/yyyy
